1.33ct Sri Lankan blue pear shape sapphire and diamond 18ct Fairtade white gold halo engagement ring with diamond shoulders.

Handmade in our north London workshop this pear-shaped sapphire halo engagement ring is made from 18ct Fairtrade white gold and set with round brilliant cut diamonds, using a sapphire provided by the customer, bought from Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka has long been famed for producing some of the worlds best colour sapphires. Ceylon sapphires are known the world over for their bright, cornflower blue colour. Some of the most famous sapphires in the world have come from this region.

Today, sapphires, spinel, rubies and aquamarines are mined from alluvial deposits across the countryside in the country.

Hand made fairtrade engagement ring

For this pear shape sapphire engagement ring, we liaised with the customer to produce a custom design that reflected their taste.

We produced a hand-painted jewellery design that was approved by the customer before manufacture began. The process of design and making took 6 weeks.
