How it works - short version

Visit the workshops before booking to discuss materials and styles. Recommended but not essential.

Workshops can be booked for any day of the week and take roughly 8 hours. Choose your materials, your width, shape and finish. We offer all varieties of gold and platinum. The cost of materials depends on which materials are used and how much the rings weigh. Gemstones, including diamonds, can be supplied and included in your rings. Workshop starts at either 9 or 10 AM. Lunch and drinks throughout the day are provided. All tools and PPE is provided. Spend the day together or with another couple and make your rings from scratch in a day. No experience required, suitable for absolute beginners. Rings are guaranteed to be finished and of a high standard. (People are always surprised by how well they come out). Lots of help, encouragement, and repeated granular instruction. We can take over if you get nervous or tired; otherwise, you do literally every stage of the process. No standing around watching. Full health and safety induction. Make your own rings or each other's. Digital photo album of your day. After the workshop, your rings must be hallmarked, which takes 3 days. We can also engrave. Rings come in a box when complete.

Description

This is an immersive, hands on, full day of jewellery making where you make the rings that you will exchange in front of your friends and relatives, from start to finish. The price of the workshop is for 2 people and includes lunch, teas/coffee, all tools and PPE and we will create a photo album of your day.

The materials are not included in the price of the workshop. The price of materials varies as the price of metals go up and down and is based on how much metal we use to make your rings.

We are able to give you accurate estimates for all of the metals we offer if you are able to give us your finger size and the width of the rings your would like to make. If you are unsure of these details we can give you estimate based on average M/F, F/F or M/M. The materials we offer are:

9ct gold - white, yellow & rose

14ct gold -white, yellow & rose

18ct gold - white, yellow & rose

22ct yellow gold

24ct yellow gold

We will introduce you to the tools of the trade and some tips and techniques of jewellery making including melting, shaping, soldering, finishing and polishing. Once made, all rings must be hallmarked in accordance with the hallmarking act 1973, so you will be unable to take your rings with you. Hallmarking takes 3 days and we can post your rings to you once this is completed or you are welcome to collect them from the workshop.

We can offer a wide variety of finished and all of the rings in the pictures are rings we have made in our workshops.

If you would like to use metal from existing jewellery to make your rings then you can however we implement a £250 per person surcharge to cover the extra time and processes involved. To find out more, click here.
