All of our engagement rings, wedding rings and bespoke jewellery pieces come with a lifetime guarantee against manufacturing defects that also entitles you to a yearly check-up, clean and polish. (does not include replating)

When you purchase your item, you will receive a personalised guarantee card like the one to the left and you must bring this with you when your ring is checked. This card is unique and irreplaceable, and it acts as a record of the service history of your treasured item.

A guarantee against manufacturing defects does not cover general wear and tear or accidental damage.

SETTING INSPECTION

As part of its annual inspection, we will check all of the settings and all structural elements of your ring. Settings are the part of the ring that most often need attention as they often come into contact with surfaces, including other jewellery.

Settings, especially claws become worn over time and this is an unavoidable process that comes under the category of general wear and tear.

If a claw becomes so worn that it essentially disappears then the stone could become loose and fall out of the setting, checking the ring annually aims to catch this before it happens and we can suggest options to re-enforce the claws.

Claws and settings are guaranteed for 10 years and should last longer however it does depend on how physical and active your lifestyle is. Yoga, pilates and treadmills won’t do much to shorten the life of your ring, however rock climbing, extensive gardening or horse riding might.

Gold claws and settings will wear away at a faster rate than platinum.

What isn’t considered general wear and tear?

There are two main areas that your lifetime guarantee covers you for. They are, if an area of the ring that is not subject to wear and tear fails or if part of the ring (or other items of jewellery) fails due to insufficient or defective metal around the setting.
